Tyrese Haliburton’s father returns to Pacers games after ban following heated clash with Giannis Antetokounmpo during Indiana playoff series

When Tyrese Haliburton pulled off two incredible layups in under a minute during the Indiana Pacers’ latest NBA Finals game, it wasn’t just the crowd who erupted — his girlfriend and dad were right there courtside, celebrating every second of his magic.

Haliburton, a rising star who’s been the driving force behind the Pacers’ push for their first-ever NBA championship, dazzled fans once again with those quick moves against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

His second layup had everyone on their feet, especially Jade Jones and his dad John, who were perfectly positioned just behind the basket to share the joy.

A Family Celebration in the Front Row

Cameras caught the heartwarming moment as Haliburton jogged over to high-five and celebrate with Jade and John.

The trio’s excitement perfectly captured the emotional energy fueling the Pacers as they look to take a 3-1 lead in the series — just one win away from the NBA title.

Tyrese and Jade have been a solid team off the court as well, having been together since their college days at Iowa State.

They recently marked six years as a couple in April. Jade has been a steadfast supporter, traveling to cities like Oklahoma City to cheer on Tyrese through every intense moment of the Finals.

Jade Jones’ Fierce Supporter Moment in Oklahoma City

During Game 2, when the Pacers fell behind by double digits, Jade was seen passionately defending her man in the stands.

Footage showed her standing up and engaging in a tense exchange with some home fans decked out in Thunder blue.

Though the exact words weren’t clear, her pointed gestures and spirited shouting made it obvious she wasn’t backing down easily.

Jade’s fierce loyalty isn’t surprising — she was a cheerleader at Iowa State herself and clearly knows how to bring energy both on and off the court.

John Haliburton’s Return After Sideline Controversy

Tyrese’s dad, John, has also been part of the drama this season.

After a heated confrontation with Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo last April — when John ran onto the court to taunt Giannis following the Pacers’ playoff win — John was banned from attending games indefinitely.

The incident escalated quickly, with a fiery exchange between the two men that led Indiana to bar John from all games for a time.

But just last month, the team reversed its decision, allowing him back for the Eastern Conference Finals Game 4 against the New York Knicks.

John had missed eight Pacers games during his suspension — including five against the Cavaliers and three against the Knicks.

The Aftermath of the Sideline Clash

Giannis later spoke out about the incident, calling John’s behavior “very, very disrespectful” and quoting the phrase John reportedly shouted during the confrontation: “This is what we do. This is what we effing do.”

Tyrese himself acknowledged the tension, admitting, “I don’t think my pops was in the right.”

Still, the family has rallied together courtside, celebrating every basket as Indiana inches closer to what could be a historic championship win.
