Fresh off helping the Los Angeles Dodgers lock in their second straight World Series title, Tyler Glasnow has added another unforgettable moment to his year — he’s now a married man.
Just weeks after the championship parade settled down, the star pitcher said “I do” to his longtime partner, Meghan Murphy.
A Love Story That Sounds Like a Movie Plot
If someone pitched their origin story as a script, it might get rejected for sounding too cute to be true.
Glasnow first noticed Murphy when he was still pitching for the Tampa Bay Rays.
She was just another fan in the crowd, until she wasn’t.
Glasnow later admitted he nudged the team photographer to zoom in on her — joking that the whole thing sounded weird in hindsight — but he couldn’t shake the feeling that she had that classic “girl-next-door” charm.
That tiny moment of curiosity kicked off a story neither of them expected.
He scribbled his phone number on a baseball and tossed it her way.
She returned the gesture the next game with her own number written on a ball.
One text led to another, then came the first date, and the two quickly realized this wasn’t a casual meet-cute — it was something real.
From First Pitch to Forever
Glasnow reflected earlier this year that he didn’t think the exchange would lead anywhere, yet here they are.
“She’s awesome,” he told the Los Angeles Times.
“She loves to travel, she’s fun, she has this great personality… it’s just easy.”
And although he joked that handing out his number on a baseball felt “a little creepy,” the relationship that grew from that moment turned out to be something pretty special.
A Beach Wedding to Match the Fairytale Beginning
Over the weekend, Glasnow shared photos on Instagram from their serene beachside ceremony — a setting that matched the relaxed, sweet vibe of their relationship.
Sun, sand, and a brand-new ring (his second in a matter of months) made it a picture-perfect celebration.
The first ring, of course, came from the Dodgers’ 2025 championship run, where Glasnow played a major role.
He started the marathon of a Game 3 and secured the save in Game 6, helping deliver back-to-back titles to Los Angeles.
A Big Year On and Off the Field
Glasnow still has several seasons ahead of him on his five-year, $136.5 million contract with the Dodgers.
But even for a player accustomed to big wins, this latest milestone might be the highlight of his year.
Surrounded by ocean views, family, and friends, Tyler Glasnow and Meghan Murphy officially started their next chapter — the kind that doesn’t require extra innings.
