Recently, Tshwane search teams found a body of a woman near the Olifantspruit near Irene.

It is believed that the woman was one of the two passengers on an e-hailing vehicle that was reportedly washed away during the recent floods that caused ravage in several parts of Tshwane. The search was called off during that particular weekend due to safety concerns and began on Monday the following week.

The search also saw the recovery of a man from a bakkie that was washed away in Centurion.

The body of another man, who allegedly drowned in his shack at Soul City informal settlement in Mamelodi, was also recovered by the SAPS and Pathology Services. Various informal settlements in Mamelodi were destroyed by the floods and the victims had to be relocated in municipal halls and shelters.
