Track route for Formula-E Grand Prix to be held in Cape Town revealed

The track route for the Formula-E Grand Prix to be held in Cape Town has been revealed.  The proposed race track has been designed around the Green Point Park and Cape Town Stadium next year.

The area will see a 44 million rand upgrade.

Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill Lewis believes the event will place the city on the map of global racing circuits.

Hill-Lewis is also relieved that other events are returning to the city since COVID-19 pandemic.

“We will play whatever role  that we can to make this one of the very best races and truly global event for this incredible in city.  It so great to see events coming back to Cape Town later this year at this magnificent stadium. We will be hosting the rugby world  cup sevens the first rugby on South African soil in 27 years,” says Hill-Lewis
