After their Ford Mustang broke in two in a five-vehicle pileup in Staten Island, three teenagers were died in a horrific car accident.

At 8:45 p.m. on Hylan Boulevard, two males and two girls, both 15 and 16, were travelling west in a muscle car when they collided with a GMC Yukon that was attempting to make a left turn onto Richard Avenue.

The elder child who was driving is the lone survivor and is in a critical but stable condition at the hospital.

The fatal pile-up, which injured five individuals, also included three additional vehicles.

The younger girl was brought to Staten Island University Hospital North where she was also declared dead, while the child and the elder girl were pronounced dead at the spot.

The collision’s impact utterly wrecked the red Mustang, blowing out its airbags and shattering glass all over the road.

The only occupant of the black SUV was the driver, who had non-life-threatening wounds, according to authorities.

One person declined medical attention and remained at the site.

The Collision Investigation Squad of the NYPD is looking into what caused the deadly collision.

According to preliminary findings, the crash may have been caused by speed.

An ambulance and a fire truck were among the emergency response vehicles that arrived on the scene.

After the horrific deaths, New York City Mayor Eric Adams also spent the night there.

Teenage drivers are not allowed to ride with more than one person who is under the age of 21 in New York.
