Teenager detained at Gatwick Airport enters a guilty plea for the Islington murder of a 16-year-old

According to testimony given before the Old Bailey, the 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, fatally stabbed him on December 20 of last year.

He assaulted 16-year-old Jamaly before escaping the scene on Seward Street. Despite their best efforts, the schoolboy’s injuries prevented paramedics from saving his life.
Nine days later, at Gatwick Airport, the murderer entered the UK and was subsequently detained.
Detective Chief Inspector Kate Kieran initiated a murder investigation and found the suspect.

“While nothing can bring Jamaly back, I am pleased that the guilty plea will spare his family having to endure a murder trial that would have been very painful for them,” he said following the verdict.Today, they are on my mind.
The murderer was kept in detention up until his November 17 Old Bailey sentence hearing.
