‘Teenage Nightmare’: Katy Perry’s ‘American Idol’ wardrobe malfunction

The pop star – who is also the fiancée of actor Orlando Bloom – was sporting a pair of red leather pants and a trendy animal print top when her pants split. Katy Perry was performing one of her hit songs, Teenage Dream, with her co-judges when the funny mishap occurred.

Obviously caught on camera, Katy is seen dancing to her tune when she crouches down as she sings the lyrics, ‘let you put your hands on me in my skin-tight jeans,’ and that’s when her skin-tight pants tear.

While the audience was visibly in shock, her co-judge Luke shouted, “they busted” and Lionel Richie replied “the concert is officially over!”

A shocked Katy Perry stopped performing and asked for tape, to which the crew members hurried and taped her up. After the quick fashion fix, the singer was now sporting a red leather pants with T-shaped pants on her backside.

Being the good sport that she is, Katy Perry posted the video on her Twitter with the caption, “Ima get ur heart racing in my skin-tight jeans on #americanidol tonight tune in now for a RIPPING good time [sic]”

“A queen finishes her lyrics even when her buttcrack is showing,” a fan applauded her

“Her skin tight jeans just ripped,”another fan replied

“Yeah this has actually happened to me before…… while I was at work,” said another tweep.
