Suspected robber shot and killed inside Jane Furse police station

A suspected robber has been shot and killed inside Jane Furse police station in Limpopo. The suspected robber is reported to have entered the police station on Monday night, disarmed a police officer and taken his firearm.

The other officer took cover while the suspect was still inside the police station.

Limpopo police say they cannot comment on the matter as the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid), is investigating.

It’s alleged that when the police backup arrived, the suspect refused to surrender and continued firing at the police officers who retaliated and shot him.
