After defeating Coal City Wizards 9-0 in the previous round of the Hollywoodbets Super League, Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies will be striving for further glory when they face First Touch in the next round.

Banyana Ba Style surpassed 100 league goals for the season with their resounding victory midweek, an accomplishment that left the entire squad ecstatic.

After 26 games, the Brazilians had amassed an unbeatable 70 points with 23 victories. The defending champions have scored 104 goals, 41 more than the second-highest scorers, JVW FC, who have scored 63 goals.

After an extremely busy campaign thus far, Coach Jerry ‘Kappa’ Tshabalala has praised his squad’s performance.

“Of course, we are pleased with how we have conducted ourselves this season, but I cannot say that it has been an easy one. Two of our greatest adversaries, the University of Western Cape (UWC) and TUT FC, defeated us in the past, but we are thrilled with how we have responded since then. We are satisfied with the number of goals we have scored and hope to increase our offensive production in the upcoming season, said Kappa.

Sundowns Ladies’ next match is against First Touch FC, a match that Masandawana has loved in prior years. Earlier in the season, Miche Minnies scored four goals to help Kappa’s squad to a 4-0 victory.

Despite this clinical result, Kappa is taking nothing for granted against the team from Limpopo.

“We witnessed their 2-1 victory over JVW FC during the midweek round of games. They are a formidable team that has amassed some impressive victories this season. Coach Jerry stated, “We anticipate a difficult matchup and will attempt to maintain our great goal-scoring record.”

First Touch is presently tenth in the standings with 28 points, earned with seven victories in 24 games.

The match between Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies and First Touch will be at Wits Stadium on October 22. The start time of the match is 11:00.
