The event, known as the ‘Renewed Hope Concert,’ took place at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja and aimed to commemorate Tinubu’s inauguration.
This celebration followed the recent conferral of the Grand Commander of the Federal Republic and Grand Commander of the Order of Niger honors upon Tinubu and Shettima in Abuja.
Thrilling Performances and Enthusiastic Crowd
The concert attracted a massive turnout of Nigerians and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC), including President-elect Tinubu and Shettima.
The crowd was treated to captivating performances by various musicians, and their excitement was evident as they danced joyously to the beats.
Among the notable celebrities in attendance were Eniola Badmus, Seyi Law, Umar Sheriff, Wande Coal, Naira Marly, Fireboy, 9ice, Asake, Timaya, and others.
Police Preparation for Inauguration Day
In the meantime, Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Usman Alkali-Baba has outlined a comprehensive plan for the May 29 inauguration of President-elect Bola Tinubu, aimed at ensuring a successful ceremony.
The IGP stated in a Thursday statement that an ample number of personnel, drawn from at least 10 police units, will be deployed to protect the presidential villa and provide security around Eagle Square.
Fireworks Display and Assurance to Residents
The police authorities have also announced that a fireworks display will take place at the City Gate at midnight, adding that residents should not be alarmed but instead enjoy the spectacle.
This information serves as an assurance of safety and aims to encourage the public to participate in the celebratory activities surrounding the inauguration of President-elect Bola Tinubu.
