Standing watch outside St Paul’s Cathedral for the Queen’s thanksgiving service, a second soldier passes out.

Two soldiers have passed out while stationed outside St Paul’s Cathedral for the Queen’s Jubilee thanksgiving ceremony today.

The incidents occurred just as Prince Charles, who is representing the Queen today, arrived at the cathedral for a special service to kick-off Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee festivities.

While the two troops were helped back to their feet, those on duty maintained their professionalism and composure.

Standing for hours in the heat in full military gear took its toll on both guards – both from separate regiments – who were inspected and checked over today, with temperatures in London over 20C.

The first man, a member of the Royal Air Force Regiment, was carried away from St Paul’s by two fellow servicemen to recover, while the second, a member of the Royal Canadian Artillery, stood vigil on the Cathedral’s steps.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, have led the arrivals at St Paul’s Cathedral, where they joined hundreds of lawmakers and dignitaries in showing their support for the Queen and the Royal Family.

After experiencing’some difficulty’ after attending the Buckingham Palace festivities yesterday, Her Majesty, 96, withdrew from today’s ceremony because to her persistent mobility concerns.
