Springbok scrumhalf Cobus Reinach to go under the knife

Springbok and Montpellier scrumhalf Cobus Reinach will undergo a shoulder operation and will miss the three-Test mid-year series against Wales.

The 32-year-old was injured against Harlequins in the European Challenge Cup a fortnight ago.

Cobus Reinach, who previously played for the Sharks, will reportedly need three to four months of recovery, according to Rapport.

Meanwhile, Sibusiso Nkosi (ankle) and RG Snyman (knee) are also sidelined.

As reported by The South African website, Cheslin Kolbe has had an operation on a thumb and while he will be out for several weeks, he is expected to have recovered in time to meet up with the Springboks for the visit of the Welsh.
