A lady was left astonished after claiming to have seen a stranger breach into her yard and steal water from her hosepipe, as drought-related prohibitions take effect throughout the nation.

The Buckinghamshire homeowner resorted to social media to vent her ire and advise other locals to keep their gates “completely closed.”

The lady reportedly published what looked to be a CCTV photograph of the event on the Facebook page of the Stokenchurch Community Group, as reported by The Sun.

After seeing a stranger filling containers with water from her yard hose, she warned other homeowners in the vicinity to be vigilant and keep their eyes alert.

In the photograph, the man can be seen holding four huge jugs and blatantly pouring water into one of them.

The man, dressed in a white t-shirt, black pants, and boots, was quietly reading through his phone as he awaited the completion of the heist.

The lady added in her Facebook group post, “Some cheeky b**** entered my yard today and filled his watering containers, recorded on video, make sure your gates are completely closed.”

She proceeded by stating that the burglar would no longer have the opportunity to steal since the faucets would be shut off, and that she was weary of having to ‘nail everything down’ or lock up her belongings like ‘Fort Knox.’

The tweet did not indicate whether or not the lady had called the police to report the stranger.

As a result of drought declarations in eight locations and the driest July since 1935, many regions of the United Kingdom have banned the use of hosepipes.Braden Wallake posted a tearful photo to LinkedIn last Tuesday, telling of his devastation at having to get rid of employees

This week, the Met Office has issued yellow warnings for thunderstorms and heavy rain throughout the UK, bringing an end to the scorching heat.

Across the United Kingdom, hosepipe restrictions have already been implemented, and Thames Water said today that Londoners will face a ban on August 24.
