In a rowdy demonstration at Sydney University, activists drowned out Malcolm Turnbull.

Turnbull stood uncomfortable as a protestor shouted in his face using a megaphone.

Socialist Alliance criticized the former PM’s invitation to the Sydney University Law Society.

Ex-Australian prime minister’s address was disrupted by socialist activists who hurled insults at him and his audience.

On Thursday at 1pm, Socialist Alliance protestors invaded Malcolm Turnbull’s appearance at Sydney University’s legal speaker series, shouting, chanting, and screeching.

One male protestor yelled “how dare you come here?” with a loudspeaker while standing directly in front of a startled Turnbull.

A female assistant wearing a hijab who attempted to diffuse the situation was also scared by him.

The same man temporarily stood at the podium and told the astonished crowd to “f*** off back to Mosman” before turning to Turnbull and shouting “f*** off back to Wentworth, too!”

One angry male protestor yelled “How can you come here?” through a loudspeaker at a startled Malcolm Turnbull, despite standing directly in front of him.

Turnbull’s Thursday visit at Sydney University’s legal lecture series was disrupted by yelling, chanting, and screeching Socialist Alliance demonstrators.

Even with a microphone, Turnbull was unable to be heard above the megaphone and chanting. He shrugged and appeared uncomfortable.

Eventually, the NSW police were required.

They blocked the entrance to the annex, and Turnbull’s address was moved online.

Earlier, officials from Sydney University, including two men wearing high-visibility jackets, were uncertain about how to manage the furious protests.

While protestors screamed “Malcolm Turnbull get out, we know what you’re about,” it was difficult to distinguish their particular points due to the noise and disarray.

However, they looked to be explicitly targeting Turnbull’s participation in the alumni lecture series at the Sydney University Law School.

Again utilizing a megaphone, a woman informed the audience that she had nothing “of value to say for the next hour.”

She stated, “He stands in stark contrast to the other guests invited to this series.”

When Turnbull was eventually given a few seconds to answer, he reminded the audience that the protestors’ use of loudspeakers proved their lack of regard for them.

Immediately, he was shouted down.

Turnbull earned a law degree from Sydney University in 1978 before receiving a Rhodes Scholarship to attend Oxford University.
