Joss Stone has just revealed an unexpected surprise—she’s pregnant!
The news came just weeks after the singer and her husband, Cody DaLuz, adopted their son, Bear.
At 37, Joss is already a mother to Violet, 3, and Shackleton, 2, and now she’s preparing to welcome another little one.
In a heartwarming post shared on Instagram, Joss expressed her shock at the pregnancy, saying, “Honestly. Shocked was an understatement. Nothing and no one can take our joy now.”
Alongside pictures of herself holding a pregnancy test, she joked, “Maybe we should call the ‘Less is More’ tour the preggo tour ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
The singer, known for her hit “Super Duper Love,” has been vocal about her desire to have a large family, and this new pregnancy adds to her dream of eventually having seven kids.
The Challenges of Parenting and Adoption
This news comes just days after Joss shared some challenges surrounding their latest adoption.
Her newborn son, Bear, was born prematurely and has lung issues that make it dangerous for him to leave the house.
In an Instagram video, Joss explained how she had to stay home with Bear, as his lungs were too vulnerable to be exposed to the outside world.
She even humorously recounted the confusion she felt when the doctors advised against taking Bear out but still required her to bring him to a hospital full of germs.
Joss had also shared how the adoption process happened “so fast.”
However, their journey to meet Bear wasn’t without its hiccups.
The couple got lost and ended up in the wrong hospital, leading to some comical confusion before they finally met their son.
She explained, “I knew it! That’s why Tummy Mummy said eighth floor, and the guy downstairs said second floor because they are totally different hospitals!”
A Beautiful Moment of Family and Gratitude
Despite the hurdles, Joss and Cody’s excitement and love for their new addition are clear.
They shared a sweet video of their first meeting with Bear, as well as a heartwarming moment with Bear meeting his siblings at Thanksgiving.
In her caption, Joss expressed deep gratitude for Bear’s biological mother, writing, “Honestly, bio mothers do not get the gratitude they deserve. It is a more selfless love than I knew existed.”
Joss and Cody’s journey to expanding their family began in 2020 when they met in Belize.
During their first conversation, Joss mentioned her desire for seven kids, and Cody responded by saying he wanted to adopt a Beagle and a baby.
From that moment on, Joss knew he was the one.
The couple started the adoption process in 2023, and Joss has shared that she hopes to grow their family further.
Looking Toward the Future
The couple is continuing their adoption journey and hopes to welcome at least one more child into their home.
Joss has expressed her desire for a large family and told HELLO! magazine that she “wants, like, 25 kids.”
