Sibongile’s sugar daddy: Inside Aubrey Mmakola’s role in ‘Gomora’

Seasoned actor Aubrey Mmakola recently joined Gomora as Sibongile’s sugar daddy and educator – Mr Leballo after the exit of fan-favourite characters Melusi and Phumlani.

This is the second time the star plays a sugar daddy as he also played Mapula’s sugar daddy in e.tv’s canned soapie – Rhythm City. 

GOMORA’: MR LEBALLO ‘THE SUGAR’  

Gomora High school recently gained a new educator – Mr Leballo played by popular actor Aubrey Mmakola after the departures of Melusi and Phumlani.

The TVSA May teasers reveal that Mr Leballo is going to lure Sibongile (Nandipha Khunoe) into the good life and he’s going to pursue her until she moves out of Zodwa’s house.

Sibongile will eventually move into Stompie’s house when Zodwa (Sanna Mchunu) kicks her out after she lies about her whereabouts.

He will offer her money which will raise eyebrows for her family.

The Thursday 12 May reads:

“Sibongile’s new look presents her with new problems.”

The Monday 16 May reads:

“Sibongile drives everyone in circles for the truth about the money.”

Zodwa will also confront Mr Leballo at Gomora Highschool after she sees him kissing her daughter.

The Thursday 26 May reads:

“Zodwa sees Sibongile and Mr. Leballo kiss. Zodwa exposes Mr Leballo in front of everyone.”

Sibongile will be humiliated when Zodwa confronts her sugar daddy.

Sibongile was an easy target for Mr Leballo as she’s always loved the glamourous life and isn’t happy dating a broke boyfriend like Stompie.

 

Mmakola has been playing the character of a private investigator called Ramashala in Skeem Saam for more than five seasons and has appeared in Generations and Generations: The Legacy as Tuiso Moloi and Advocate Mthembu respectively.

The multi-lingual actor also appeared in Giyani – Land of Blood season two as Thabiso, Home Affairs season two as a Police Officer Aubrey Mmakoza, Housekeepers season two as Karabo, and also made a guest appearance in SABC2’s soapie Muvhango and many more…
