It’s been more than three decades since Sharon Stone made jaws drop in Basic Instinct — but at 67, she’s proving she still has that same magnetic allure.
In a daring new photoshoot for Vogue Adria, the Hollywood icon stripped things back and owned the moment with confidence and sensuality.
Embracing the Femme Fatale Energy
Channeling her iconic character Catherine Trammell, Stone posed topless beneath a sheer dress, surrounded by a group of sculpted male models.
Among them was Gabriel Aubry — not only a striking model in his own right but also the ex of Halle Berry and Stone’s former Catwoman co-star.
The chemistry between Stone and Aubry was hard to miss.
In one smouldering shot, the two tangled together in a pose that looked like something straight out of a noir fantasy — with Stone stretched across his lap, legs draped over his shoulder, leaning in close.
Gabriel Aubry’s Ties to Hollywood Drama
Aubry, now 48, shares a daughter with Halle Berry from their high-profile relationship between 2005 and 2010.
Despite promising to stay friends post-breakup, things turned turbulent.
Berry tried to relocate to France with their daughter Nahla, sparking legal battles.
There was even a physical altercation between Aubry and Berry’s then-husband Olivier Martinez on Berry’s driveway.
Things escalated when Berry sought to limit Aubry’s access to Nahla after a nanny accused him of pushing her while holding the child — though no charges were ever filed.
Still Reflecting on Her Most Famous Scene
While her latest shoot grabbed attention, Stone recently revisited the film that made her a household name: Basic Instinct.
Speaking at the Taormina Film Festival, she reflected on how tame her once-scandalous interrogation scene now seems.
“You watch it now and it’s pretty ordinary,” she said, comparing it to today’s bolder content. “Back then it was a scandal. Now, it’s just not.”
The Shift in Female Power On-Screen
Stone believes the landscape of film has evolved — and for the better.
With more women writing, directing, and producing, she says stories are no longer filtered through the male fantasy lens.
“Now we’re asking, are we portraying the human condition — not just whether we’ve fulfilled a male fantasy,” she explained.
Sharon’s Longstanding Dispute with Basic Instinct Director
Despite the scene launching her into stardom, Stone has long claimed she was tricked during the filming.
In her memoir The Beauty of Living Twice, she revealed she only realized during a screening that the leg-crossing moment revealed more than she expected.
Enraged, she said she slapped director Paul Verhoeven and stormed out.
Verhoeven, for his part, denies that version of events.
He insists Stone knew exactly what was being filmed. “Any actress knows what she’s showing when asked to remove underwear,” he said firmly.
No Regrets, Just Power Moves
Even with the controversy, Stone remains firm that she has no regrets about making the film.
And her latest shoot suggests she’s still rewriting the rules on aging, beauty, and confidence in Hollywood.
Whether on-screen or in front of a camera lens, Sharon Stone continues to captivate — not just because of her looks, but because she never stops owning her narrative.
