Russia will not beg the West to lift sanctions

Sergei Vershinin, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister, stated that Moscow will not urge Europe or the United States to relax sanctions.

According to Vershinin, the sanctions adopted by “the United States and its satellites” seek to put both the Russian economy and the lives of ordinary Russians in jeopardy.

One has lost count of the sanctions, and all of them were approved to punish Russia for its sovereign political decisions, Sergei Vershinin said in an interview with the Izvestia newspaper.
