According to Interfax, the Kremlin’s official spokesman Dmitry Peskov claimed that illegal sanctions placed on Russia and Kyiv’s actions might lead to a severe food crisis.

According to him, the topic of food supplies is always on the table, as Russia is one of the world’s major grain suppliers.

“This topic is being discussed in a variety of ways. “We could be on the verge of a major food catastrophe as a result of the imposition of illegal restrictions on one of our primary suppliers — Russia,” Peskov warned.

According to him, the worldwide food crisis could be triggered by the acts of Ukrainian authorities. Ukraine has “mined access methods to Black Sea ports and does not ship wheat from there,” Peskov added, despite the Russian Federation not putting up any barriers at this time.

Dmitry Peskov also confirmed that Foreign Ministers of Russia and Turkey were to conduct negotiations on the topic. The date of Sergei Lavrov’s visit to Turkey is to be established, he added.
