Shauwn “MaMkhize” added the Royal AM Ladies women’s soccer team to her portfolio and named her daughter-in-law Tamia Mpisane as deputy-chair.

The entrepreneur and soccer executive said on Friday, July 22, that she had bought Bloemfontein Celtic Ladies and changed its identity to Royal AM Ladies. The group will move to Pietermaritzburg.

Andile Mpisane’s wife Tamia also got a piece of the action when she was named an executive of the team’s leadership.

Tamia Mpisane, who has been married to Andile Mpisane for only seven months, is now the head of the Royal AM Ladies team and has joined the family business.

Along with the head coach Thato Haraba, MaMkhize’s daughter-in-law will serve as the new team’s deputy-chair.

Tamia Mpisane is expected to demonstrate that she is more than just a gorgeous face because of her history in soccer administration—her uncle Sfiso Biyela is the chairman of Richards Bay FC.

MaMkhize told the media at a press briefing: “I want to announce that Tamia Mpisane will be the deputy chairperson of the women’s team. As I’m creating a legacy for my kid, I think Andile brought us into football and we’re now attached.

She added: “Once you get in then you can’t get out”.

Soccer supporters used social media to express their opinions in response to MaMkhize’s recent takeover of Royal AM Ladies.

When it came to Tamia Mpisane, Twitter users had a lot to say:
