Ricki Lake Shares Details of Her Lower Face and Neck Lift Surgery Following Weight Loss Journey in Beverly Hills

Ricki Lake has never been one to shy away from sharing her truth—and now, she’s getting even more candid about her latest transformation.

After a determined weight-loss journey that saw her shed 40 pounds, the beloved TV host and actress revealed she also opted for a little help in the form of plastic surgery to feel her best.

Why She Chose Surgery After Hitting Her Goal Weight

Speaking on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the 56-year-old former talk show queen didn’t hesitate to open up about getting a lower face and neck lift.

“This was something that was really bothering me,” Ricki admitted.

“I had some loose skin hanging around my neck after losing the weight, and I just wanted to fix it.”

And she did. Ricki reached her goal of 130 pounds back in January and decided it was time to address what weight loss alone couldn’t take care of.

Giving Credit Where It’s Due

Not only did she confess to the surgery, Ricki gave a glowing shoutout to her Beverly Hills surgeon, Dr. Allen Foulad.

“I honestly think it’s the best facelift I’ve ever seen,” she said proudly.

Even Andy Cohen was impressed, saying he’d seen a lot of cosmetic work in his time, and Ricki’s looked “really good.”

What’s more, she said there’s barely any visible scarring.

“I love that I can talk about it,” she added.

“I’ve always been open and transparent, and I don’t think there should be any shame about wanting to feel good in your skin.”

Kylie Jenner Also Joins the Plastic Surgery Chat

Ricki’s openness came shortly after Kylie Jenner shocked her own fans by casually revealing her breast implant details during a chat on TikTok.

The 27-year-old beauty mogul even named her surgeon, Dr. Garth Fisher, and shared the implant size and type.

The transparency from two very different celebrities added a refreshing dose of honesty in a space that’s often clouded in secrecy.

No Ozempic Here—Ricki Did It the Hard Way

Unlike many stars who’ve turned to trendy weight-loss injections, Ricki stressed that she took a different path.

“I didn’t go on any drug because I wasn’t prediabetic,” she said in a previous interview.

“I just wanted to do it on my own if I could.”

Instead, she relied on a strict keto diet, intermittent fasting, daily hikes with a weighted vest, Pilates, and a wellness-focused lifestyle—tracking everything from her glucose to her sleep.

“It worked. And it still works,” she said.

A Long Battle with Body Image Finally Turns a Corner

Ricki has been open for years about her struggles with weight, dating all the way back to her early fame in Hairspray.

At one point, she weighed 260 pounds.

After decades of yo-yo dieting, it seems she’s finally found a routine that feels right—and sustainable.

Life After Loss and New Beginnings

2025 has been a rollercoaster year for Ricki.

In January, she and her husband Ross Burningham tragically lost their $5 million Malibu home in the Palisades wildfire.

Since then, they’ve relocated to New York City and are focused on rebuilding their life together.

Despite the challenges, she’s celebrating family milestones too.

Her son Owen turns 24 on June 18, and she shares another son, 28-year-old Milo, with her ex-husband Rob Sussman.

From Talk Show Host to Timeless Icon

While many remember Ricki from her 11-year run as a daytime talk show host, her career began with a splash—literally—when she starred as the iconic Tracy Turnblad in John Waters’ Hairspray in 1988.

That role kicked off a decades-long relationship with Waters, who cast her in several of his cult classics.

She also appeared in the 2007 movie musical remake and NBC’s Hairspray Live! in 2016.

Still Radiating Joy, Decades Later

Through weight struggles, personal loss, and major comebacks, Ricki Lake is still glowing—now with a little surgical help and a lot of inner peace.

Her message remains clear: it’s never too late to make changes, own your truth, and feel amazing doing it.
