Mollie Pearce, star of The Traitors, has been announced as the second celebrity to join the Dancing on Ice 2025 line-up.
She will be competing alongside reality TV star Ferne McCann, who was revealed earlier as the first contestant.
Mollie shared her excitement about this new adventure on Lorraine, where she expressed her eagerness to embrace the physical challenge the show presents.
Excited for the Physical Challenge
During her appearance on Lorraine, Mollie, who first gained fame on the second series of The Traitors, opened up about how much she is looking forward to this new chapter.
“It will be fun,” she said, “I want to challenge myself, and I’m ready for it!”
At just 22, Mollie is determined to push her limits, and though the thought of competing on ice might be intimidating, she is eager to get started.
Overcoming Health Challenges
Mollie’s story is one of resilience.
In 2020, she had her colon removed due to ulcerative colitis, a condition she has lived with since she was 11.
Now living with a stoma bag, she shared how it has given her a new lease on life.
“For me, my stoma has given me my life back,” she said.
Fellow stoma bag wearer, Adele Roberts, gave Mollie a shoutout on the show, encouraging her to “go and smash it!”
In addition to her health journey, Mollie was born with no fingers on her right hand.
However, she remains undeterred, stating, “I have adapted, and I’ve never let it get in the way before, and I’m not about to start now.”
Ready for the Ice… and the Head Banger?
As Mollie prepares to lace up her skates, she’s already got her sights set on one of the most daring moves in the competition—the head banger.
Despite her parents’ concerns, she joked that she’s excited to give it a go.
Official training hasn’t started yet, but she’s “raring to go” and ready to throw herself into the experience, even if the thought is a little scary.
Mollie rose to fame earlier this year on The Traitors, where she was duped by fellow contestant and eventual winner Harry Clarke.
However, there are no hard feelings.
Reflecting on the experience, she said, “It’s a game, and you sign up for that.
There’s always a chance someone is lying to you.”
Advocating for Change
Outside of her TV career, Mollie is a proud advocate for raising awareness around bowel conditions.
In May, she led a campaign encouraging people to break the stigma around inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and banish the “taboo around poo.”
Her advocacy highlights her passion for supporting those with similar health challenges.
Ferne McCann’s Icy Adventure
Meanwhile, Ferne McCann, best known for her time on The Only Way is Essex and her long-running show First Time Mum, is equally excited about taking to the ice.
She announced her participation on Good Morning Britain, admitting that while she’s skated before, her experience is limited to holding onto penguins at Winter Wonderland.
Ferne, who became a household name in 2013 on TOWIE, has enjoyed a varied career in reality TV, appearing on shows like I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and Celebs Go Dating.
She’s no stranger to challenges and is ready for the glitz, glamour, and hard work that Dancing on Ice demands.
Ferne Says Goodbye to First Time Mum
Ferne also recently made headlines after revealing that the next series of First Time Mum will be its last.
After seven years and 13 series, Ferne decided it was time to close this chapter of her life.
The show, which initially followed her pregnancy and journey as a single mum to daughter Sunday, was rebranded in 2023 after Ferne welcomed her second daughter, Finty.
Speaking about her decision, Ferne said that it came after a moment of reflection when her daughter Sunday asked if she was famous.
This question made Ferne reconsider the impact of the show on her family life, ultimately leading her to step away.
The Return of Holly Willoughby and Big Names to Come
ITV’s Dancing on Ice is set to return in 2025, and it’s already shaping up to be a star-studded season.
Rumors are swirling that Holly Willoughby will return as host, with ITV reportedly negotiating a lucrative deal to keep her on board.
In addition to Ferne and Mollie, an iconic EastEnders star, Charlie Brooks, is rumored to be joining the cast.
Known for her role as the villainous Janine Butcher, Charlie would bring plenty of personality and energy to the competition, promising an exciting line-up for fans.
A Glittering Future for Dancing on Ice
With skating legends Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean eager for the show’s return, Dancing on Ice 2025 is sure to be one of the most exciting seasons yet.
The Olympic champions are gearing up for their tour, which will follow the end of the series, marking a perfect celebration of their 50 years on the ice.
The stage is set for an unforgettable season, full of daring moves, sparkling costumes, and inspiring stories—Mollie Pearce and Ferne McCann are just the beginning!
