President Tinubu Extends Olive Branch: Welcomes Former Critics Anyim Pius Anyim and Olisa Metuh

…By Lola Smith for TDPel Media. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu extended a warm welcome to Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, the former Senate President and ex-Secretary to the Government of the Federation, at the State House in Abuja.

Additionally, Chief Olisa Metuh, a former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was also received by the Nigerian leader.

Notably, both Anyim and Metuh had been prominent critics of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the lead-up to the 2019 elections.

Meeting at the State House

The State House meeting was attended by various individuals, including Senator Iyiola Omisore, the APC National Secretary, who played a role in welcoming Anyim and Metuh.

Other notable attendees included Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to the President and former Speaker of the House of Representatives, as well as Dele Alake, the Special Adviser to the President on Special Duties, Communications, and Strategy.

Metuh’s Departure from Partisan Politics and Anyim’s Involvement with APC

It is worth mentioning that Chief Olisa Metuh announced his resignation from the PDP and his departure from partisan politics back in October 2022.

On the other hand, Senator Anyim had collaborated with the APC in Ebonyi State during the 2023 general elections.
