Ladoja’s Support for President Tinubu’s Actions

He believes that these measures are necessary for the country and assures Nigerians that they will not be disappointed.

According to Ladoja, it is no longer about providing short-term relief but rather about redistributing wealth and ensuring that workers earn a living wage.

Buhari’s Lack of Action on Corruption Issues

The former governor pointed out that Buhari did not take appropriate action on matters concerning the activities of Abdulrasheed Bawa, the suspended Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and Godwin Emefiele, the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Ladoja suggests that Tinubu’s responsiveness to these concerns indicates that he understands the issues at hand and is willing to address them.

The Benefits of Curbing Corruption and Promoting Competition

Ladoja emphasizes that curbing corruption will lead to significant progress for the nation.

He believes that with the elimination of subsidies and proper revenue collection, there will be no need for strict border controls to prevent subsidized petroleum from leaving the country.

Ladoja argues that when governance is streamlined and corruption is reduced, competition will thrive, resulting in lower prices and improved services, as exemplified by the telecommunications sector.

President Tinubu’s Private Sector Experience

Ladoja recognizes President Tinubu’s background in the private sector and suggests that this experience has given him insights into the benefits of competition and the importance of liberal policies.

He believes that Tinubu’s understanding of these dynamics will contribute to positive changes in governance, ultimately benefiting the Nigerian people.
