President Muhammadu Buhari celebrates the investiture of Dr. John Elaigwu Odogbo as the 5th Och’Idoma with the sons and girls of the Idoma Kingdom in Benue State. His credentials in academia, business, and leadership bode well for his people.

Dr. Odogbo worked for the Federal Inland Revenue Service for more than two decades, during which time he acquired a PhD in accounting and taxation and trained other employees. President Buhari acknowledges his energy and perseverance in pursuing information and imparting it.

The President is of the opinion that the traditional ruler’s extensive network and national and international exposure over many years set a new standard for the realm, providing a favourable environment for advancement through the fusion of tradition and modernity by putting the needs of the people first.

Considering the steadily growing influence and impact of the Idomas in nation building, especially in leadership positions, President Buhari affirms that Dr. Odogbo’s wealth of experience will be put to use in directing citizens on the path of peace, prosperity, and development in the state and beyond.

The President offers prayers for the nation of the Idoma and, most significantly, for the Paramount Ruler’s health and wisdom.
