Presidency describes the attacks on Buhari’s convoy in Katsina as sad

The shooting in Dutsinma, Kastina State at the convoy of cars carrying the advance team of security guards, protocols, and media officers before President Buhari’s trip to Daura for Sallah has been called as sad by the Presidency.

In a statement released in Abuja, the President’s spokesman, Mallam Garba Shehu, confirmed the occurrence.

He claimed that after setting up an ambush, the attackers fired on the convoy but were driven back by the military police and Department of State Service officials there.

Two injured individuals are currently receiving care for their relatively minor injuries, according to Mallam Shehu.
