PRESIDENCY DECRIES ATTACK ON ADVANCED TEAM

The gunshot incident in Dutsinma, Katsina State, at the convoy of automobiles carrying the Advance Team of security guards, protocol, and media officials before President Buhari’s departure to Daura for Sallah has been called as sad and unwelcome by the Presidency.

The incident was confirmed by Malam Garba Shehu, the president’s communications aide, in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja.

According to him, the terrorists ambushed the convoy and fired on it, but the military, police, and Department of State Service officers guarding it managed to resist them.

”Two persons in the convoy are receiving treatment for the minor injuries they suffered.

”All the other personnel, staff and vehicles made it safely to Daura,” he further stated.
