The Lagos State Government has announced the postponement of the scheduled Two Sundays palliative works on the deteriorated segments of the 3rd Mainland Bridge due to the substantial rainfall experienced across the entire metropolis today.

Initially planned for Sunday, September 17th, and Sunday, September 24th, 2023, this maintenance activity has been delayed.

In a press release issued by Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, it was conveyed that the heavy rain has adversely impacted the preliminary preparations required for the planned palliative works on the bridge’s asphalt surface.

Specifically, these preparations were being carried out by the Lagos State Public Works Corporation.
