A man’s mysterious disappearance has prompted a search operation on a Carnival Cruise ship. Kevin McGrath, a 26-year-old passenger, vanished just hours before the cruise was scheduled to return to Miami. Despite extensive efforts, authorities have been unable to locate him, leaving his family deeply concerned.
Vanishing Act Kevin McGrath was aboard a Carnival Cruise ship traveling from Miami to Bimini, Bahamas, during the Labor Day weekend. His disappearance raised alarms when he failed to meet his family for breakfast on the morning the ship was due to return to Florida. Carnival Cruise promptly notified Miami Police and the Coast Guard, initiating a search for McGrath, but no trace of him was found.
Desperate Plea from Family Kristen McGrath, Kevin’s sister, expressed her family’s distress, stating, “My brother is missing! He never got off the Carnival Conquest cruise ship. He has a family who loves him, and we will not rest until we find him.” Kristen shared a photograph of their family on social media, emphasizing their concern for Kevin’s well-being.
Last Known Sighting McGrath was last seen by his brother at 2 am in his cabin, identified as number 1326. He was dressed in a black T-shirt, black shorts, and grey sneakers. Notably, camera surveillance and security systems confirmed that McGrath did not go overboard.
Search Efforts and Departure Despite the worried family reporting Kevin’s disappearance at 7 am on Monday, the Miami-Dade authorities’ extensive search on the boat yielded no results. Consequently, the cruise ship was cleared to continue its journey back to the Bahamas.
Concerned Friends and Calls for Action Mitchell Branch, a friend of McGrath from their military service, expressed his deep concern, emphasizing the unbreakable bond formed in the military. He stated, “I pray you’re okay” and even contemplated driving to Florida to initiate his own search party in a desperate effort to locate his missing friend.
