After a man was shot and injured in West Seattle on Thursday afternoon, police are looking into the incident.
Police were called to the 7800 block of Detroit Avenue Southwest at 4:35 p.m. due to reports of a gunshot. When the police arrived, they discovered a 32-year-old male who had been shot in the leg.
When Seattle Fire Department medics arrived, officers started providing first aid and subsequently transferred care to them.
The victim was taken by medical personnel to Harborview Medical Center for further care for his reportedly non-life-threatening wound.
Witnesses claim that the victim and the suspect got into a physical argument before someone shot them. The suspect then drove away from the area in a black vehicle.
Police searched the area for evidence, and investigators are looking into the event.
