Weirder things have happened in the beautiful game and Pitso Mosimane has a bizarre plan in store for up-and-coming CAF opponents Raja Casablanca.
Mosimane hinted at an entirely new formation, a curve ball for his future opponents.
“We will play against a tough team like Raja, who were able to be at the top of their group. Also, playing against Moroccan teams isn’t easy. I will not talk about any tactics today. I might start tomorrow with a different formation. That’s football,” Mosimane added.
“As for playing in the second leg in Morocco, we have to concentrate only on the pitch and avoid being distracted with things from outside the pitch. If you do your job on the pitch, you have more chances to win no matter how many Raja fans attend the game.”
Mosimane may not necessarily be playing Tau out of position just yet. However, we may see one or two players make slight positional adjustments to fit into a new formation.
Al Ahly look to defend their trophy when they take on Raja Casablanca in the quarter finals of the CAF Champions League on Saturday.
