He has filed a lawsuit against the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba, the Director of the State Security Services (SSS), Yusuf Bichi, and the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa.
The lawsuit pertains to an alleged N2 billion vote-buying case.
Allegations of Vote-Buying and Adebutu’s Response:
Reports surfaced claiming that Adebutu’s Campaign Organisation was involved in vote-buying during the electioneering period.

In response, Afolabi Orekoya, the Media Director of the Ladi Adebutu Campaign Organisation, dismissed the allegations as baseless.
He referred to the claims as a mere petition and denied any involvement in a N2 billion vote-buying scheme.
Accusations by Adebutu’s Aide:
Adebutu’s aide stated that the accusations were desperate attempts by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state and the governor-elect, Dapo Abiodun, to undermine their strong case before the Tribunal.

The PDP had challenged Abiodun and the APC’s victory in the state, leading to Adebutu filing a petition.
Adebutu’s aide claimed that the APC and Abiodun resorted to blackmail, media trials, and malfeasance to manipulate public sentiment and confuse the Judiciary.

Refuting Misrepresentations and Calling for Investigation:
The Ladi Adebutu Campaign Organisation expressed dissatisfaction with certain online news platforms, particularly Premium Times, for publishing unsubstantiated claims about a “PDP Chieftain in trouble as police uncover shocking N2 billion vote-buying scheme.”
They deemed this further evidence of the APC and Dapo Abiodun’s attempt at cheap blackmail.
They also called for an investigation into the premature leak of an interim report related to the investigation, suggesting that the APC was preempting the completion of the investigation for political gain.
Conclusion:
Oladipupo Adebutu has taken legal action against the AGF, IGP, Director of the SSS, and Chairman of the EFCC, alleging a N2 billion vote-buying case.
