A Chieftain of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olabode George, has refuted claims of his alleged political appointment with the Bola Tinubu administration.
In response to these reports, George dismissed them as baseless falsehoods and emphasized that he is too old for any full-time work, let alone seeking a position from the opposition party.
He also warned against individuals attempting to exploit his name for personal gain and popularity.
During a press conference in Lagos, the respected statesman clarified that he has not accepted any job offer from the Federal Government, dismissing such rumors as unfounded and misleading.
George, who expressed his willingness to work with Tinubu if approached, urged against the use of his name for the sake of attracting attention in the media.
With nearly eight decades of life experience, Chief Olabode George believes he should be allowed to fulfill his role as a patriot and advisor on matters of good governance.
He urged that his name not be exploited to gain cheap popularity, emphasizing that his priority lies in the welfare and security of Nigerians.
George reiterated his commitment to the well-being of the majority and his aversion to witnessing the suffering of his fellow countrymen and women.
He concluded by affirming his unavailability for any job and requested that those advocating on his behalf exclude him from their endeavors.Share on Facebook «||» Share on Twitter «||» Share on Reddit «||» Share on LinkedIn
