The Special Adviser Parastatals Monitoring Office (PMO), Mr. Afolabi Ayantayo, has applauded the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) for its commitment to the policy thrust of the State Government on a sustainable environment. He gave the commendation recently during his official visit to the Agency as part of the oversight functions of his office, noting that the working tour is in line with the directives of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to monitor the activities of all Agencies of Government while ensuring that their operations are in tandem with the T.H.E.M.E.S development agenda. Ayantayo added that the visit was also to determine some of the challenges hindering the smooth performance of the agency, proffering necessary solutions and rendering the required assistance and support to enhance service delivery. In his words: “We are pleased and proud to acknowledge some of the laudable achievements recorded by your agency between our last visit and now. Do not rest on your oars and always be guided by established protocols in the performance of your duties”.  He specifically praised the agency for increasing its Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) as well as maintaining a clean and eco-friendly environment that is only comparable to International Corporate Organisations. Also speaking, the Permanent Secretary, Parastatals Monitoring Office, Mrs. Oluwatoyin Oke-Osayintolu, commended the various innovations, programmes and activities introduced by LASEPA to enhance quick services to the general public. “I must commend you for your digital library, upgrading and equipping of the laboratories to ISO standard, increasing zonal offices to meet the varied environmental challenges across the State. This is in addition to your effective collaboration with other relevant stakeholders to promote service delivery”, she disclosed. Responding, the General Manager, Dr. Dolapo Fasawe, thanked the Special Adviser and his entourage for the visit, reaffirming the commitment of her team to an eco-friendly environment devoid of all forms of degradation. According to her, LASEPA is determined to achieve its set goals and objectives by implementing the zero-tolerance campaign of the present administration against all forms of environmental pollution across the State.
