Great news Bucs! Mako’s recovery has gone really well and he will play football again.

This is according to Ncikazi’s latest update on Mako.

“Mako, I’m grateful. He even slept at my place, he visited me, so he is recovering. God is good, it could’ve been worse,” Ncikazi stated on iDiskiTimes.

“I don’t think we’ll see him this season, but I’m just happy that he’s alive, healthy and he’ll play football again.” he added.

Several supporters, analysts and his entire side were concerned that he may not be able to play again.

Thankfully, this is not the case and we will see Mako back on the pitch next season. Ultimately, his wellbeing is the priority of the Pirates management and they will not risk rushing him back after the severity of his horror injury.

Mako has been a revelation for Pirates this season, putting in inspirational displays in the CAF Confederation Cup.

He certainly played his part in inspiring the Buccaneers huge performances in Africa this season.
