Nigerian Singer Slim Joe is Dead

A Slim Joe, has died after complications with a kidney-related ailment, at age 30.

The ‘O ti Yan Yan’ crooner was reported to have been seeking N15million for urgent medical intervention before he passed on.

The singer had said he had been diagnosed with end-stage kidney disease since November 24, 2020, and had been advised to go for a kidney transplant.

In a sad turn of events, the singer has been reported dead on Sunday.

One Kayode Jegede who claimed to be the cousin of the deceased confirmed his passing on Facebook.

Jegede wrote, “I lost a cousin, Joshua Olonitola aka, Slim Joe of Oti yanyan fame.

 

“Aburo, it is painful to lose a good brother like you to death at your prime of fame and age.

“You made an impact in the world with the very short time you lived, you were such a brilliant boy growing up then.

We shall all miss you.


Slim Joe dropped hit songs in the year 2018 which include “Jekajolepo” and “Packaging”.

  He later featured Don Jazzy in “Jekajolepo” remix.
