The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) has lauded the Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, for his administration’s efforts towards revitalising agriculture in the state.
Specifically, the Director of Animal Husbandry in the Federal Ministry, Mrs Winnie Tai Solarin, commended the governor for his efforts in the livestock sector.
She gave the commendation during an inspection visit to Wawa Zange Grazing Reserve in the Dukku Local Government Area of the state.
She expressed satisfaction with the level of work in the facilities while assuring the state government of the ministry’s readiness to provide more facilities in the grazing reserve to boost animal husbandry.
On his part, the Gombe State Commissioner for Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Hon.
Muhammad Gettado commended the Federal Government for its intervention projects in the state.
While noting that most of the projects have reached significant levels of progress, he appealed to the Federal Government to equip the reserve with more dams and boreholes.
Meanwhile, the director also inspected a veterinary clinic, health care facility, Earth Dam, boreholes, milking and storage facilities, roads, pasture farms among other projects by the Federal Government in collaboration with the state government.
