Popular Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci, has refuted claims that she was charging a fee of twenty-five thousand Naira for people to witness her culinary expertise in Abuja.
Reports circulating on Naija News suggested that the chef had planned a ‘meet and greet’ session with her supporters in Abuja but canceled it due to allegations of ticket charges.
However, Baci has come forward to dismiss these reports and clarify that she never asked anyone to pay such a substantial amount of money.
Cancellation of the ‘Meet and Greet’ Session
In response to the circulating rumors, Hilda Baci decided to cancel the planned ‘meet and greet’ session in Abuja.
Through her social media page, she addressed her followers and supporters, informing them that the session would no longer take place.
She made it clear that she had not organized the event with the intention of charging attendees.
Denial of the Allegations
Hilda Baci took to social media to debunk the allegations of charging a fee for her culinary skills showcase.
In her statement, she expressed her disbelief at such claims, emphasizing that she would never ask anyone to pay such an exorbitant amount.
The chef wanted to ensure that her followers were aware of the situation and understood that the reports were baseless.
Recognition for Previous Accomplishments
Hilda Baci gained significant attention after successfully completing 100 hours of non-stop cooking, surpassing the previous Guinness World record set by Indian chef Lata Tondon in 2019.
However, despite her accomplishment occurring approximately two weeks ago, Baci has yet to receive official confirmation from Guinness World Records.
Nevertheless, she remains hopeful as the organization has acknowledged her attempt.
