Madisyn Shipman, the former Nickelodeon star known for her role as Kenzie Bell in “Game Shakers,” has opened up about her career shift towards creating adult content for Playboy’s digital platform.
The 20-year-old actress shared that she made this transition after feeling “repressed” by the strict rules she had to follow while working for Nickelodeon to maintain a “wholesome image.”
A Wholesome Image and Strict Rules
While at Nickelodeon, Madisyn claimed that she was pressured by the channel’s executives to uphold a family-friendly image.
She mentioned that this expectation was not limited to her work on set but also extended to her “day-to-day” life. This included rules such as not wearing crop tops and not having her cleavage visible.
Additionally, she mentioned that she was prohibited from wearing heels, which was challenging for her because she enjoys wearing them.
These strict clothing rules made it difficult for her to navigate through puberty, a time when her body was going through changes.
Mixed Feelings and Gratitude for Nickelodeon
Madisyn expressed mixed feelings about her experience at Nickelodeon. While she disliked the strict rules, she remains “very, very grateful” for her time on the network
. She also mentioned that she is still “super close” to the rest of the “Game Shakers” cast and producer Dan Schneider.
Transition to Playboy and Reclaiming Her Sexuality
After her time on the Nickelodeon show ended, Madisyn briefly worked at a gym, a job she strongly disliked.
This led her to make the decision to collaborate with Playboy, a move that surprised many of her fans. However, Madisyn explained that her motivation for joining Playboy was to reclaim her power and her sexuality.
She emphasized that living her life for herself was essential, and she has no regrets about the career shift. She expressed, “At the end of the day, I can’t live my life for other people. I have to live it for myself. This was something I knew I wanted to fully commit to, and I’m so glad I did.”
