In Randpark Ridge, Randburg, Netcare 911 responded to a collision at the intersection of Beyers Naude and Honeydew Roads West.

A minibus taxi and an automobile were engaged in an accident, according to reports.

Emer-G-Med, the City of Johannesburg Fire Department, the Rapid Intervention Unit, the Community Group Fire-fighter Association, and other private ems were also on the site.

Medics arrived on the scene and discovered that eight people from both vehicles had been injured, ranging from minor to critical.

Hydraulic tools were used to remove the taxi’s driver, an adult male who was locked inside.

All of the patients were taken to the hospital after being treated.
