The Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs has urged chairmen of 13 local government areas in the state to ensure that they do quality work on the ongoing renovation of their offices approved by Governor Abdullahi Sule.
This, the assembly said, was for them to leave a lasting legacy and for the overall development of their council areas.
The Chairman of the House Committee on LG, Ibrahim Alkali, gave the task while inspecting the ongoing overhauling and renovation of Kokona Local Government Council by its Chairman, Auwalu Adamu.
Ibrahim Alkali, who is the Deputy Chief Whip of the House expressed happiness and satisfaction with the level of ongoing work in the Kokona LG secretariat.
He hailed the Chairman for doing a wonderful job calling on other chairmen to emulate what is happening in Kokona LG revealing that the committee will soon embark on a tour of LGAs in the State to inspect the renovation works.
Hon Alkali who was accompanied by a member of the committee Hon.
Daniel Ogazi commended Gov.
Abdullahi Sule for releasing funds for the renovation of Chairmen offices across the state.
“As this will create an enabling environment for effective service delivery,” he said.
