Mother’s Cry for Her Detained Son
The mother of Nigerian singer Owodunni Ibrahim, known as Primeboy, has expressed her distress over her son’s continued detention in police custody.
Primeboy, who was childhood friends with the late singer MohBad (Ilerioluwa Aloba), voluntarily surrendered to the police after being declared wanted.
Primeboy Held in Police Custody
Currently, Primeboy is in police custody alongside individuals like Naira Marley and Sam Larry due to the unexpected passing of MohBad on September 12th.
His surrender followed the investigation into the circumstances surrounding MohBad’s demise.
An Emotional Plea
In a viral video circulating on social media, Primeboy’s mother has made a heartfelt appeal to actress Iyabo Ojo, journalist Oriyomi Hamzat, and the Nigerian public in general, seeking intervention for her son’s release.
She passionately stated that she raised Primeboy to be a well-behaved individual, emphasizing that she cannot fathom her son being involved in any wrongful act.
A Desperate Mother’s Plea for Mercy
The distraught mother implored Nigerians, particularly Iyabo Ojo, known for her commitment to speaking the truth, to assist in securing her son’s freedom.
She earnestly called upon the collective empathy of her fellow citizens, emphasizing her humble background and her desire not to lose her firstborn child.
She urged all mothers to stand by her side, expressing her anguish and fear that her son might be used to settle conflicts.
She further asserted that there is no history of violence or wrongdoing in their family lineage.
A Personal Connection to MohBad
Primeboy’s mother also revealed a personal connection between her family and MohBad, recounting how they lived together and spent time as close neighbors.
She emphasized that MohBad even financially supported her in her street vending activities.
She expressed profound sadness over MohBad’s death and urged those in their community to inquire about their relationship.
With tearful desperation, she pleaded with the public not to let her son, Ibrahim (Primeboy), be taken away from her.

In her heartfelt plea, the singer’s mother sought justice and mercy for her son, highlighting the emotional toll his detention has taken on her and her family.
