Minister Mitchell sends condolences to Deputy Transport Minister following tragic loss

I would like to send my sincere condolences to the Deputy Minister of Transport, Ms. Sindisiwe Chikunga, on behalf of the Western Cape Government following the passing of her son, daughter-in-law, and four grandchildren in a car accident.

The family was reportedly engaged in an automobile accident on Sunday outside Ladysmith in KwaZulu Natal.

I kindly request that the Road Traffic Management Corporation and the relevant law enforcement agencies conduct a complete inquiry into this unfortunate accident. One too many lives have been lost.

The Deputy Minister and her family are in our hearts and prayers during this difficult time.
