Authorities acted quickly after signs of damage were discovered inside the property, prompting road closures and a large-scale safety operation.
Structural Problems Detected During Renovation
The 37-story tower, formerly used as the headquarters of pharmaceutical company Pfizer and now being converted into luxury residential apartments, was cleared after construction crews identified alarming structural issues.
Workers reportedly found visible cracks and buckling support columns while renovation work was underway.
The discovery raised immediate concerns about the building’s stability, leading authorities to order everyone inside to leave the premises.
