Meghan Markle puts her finger to her lips and tells the young royals to keep quiet at the Platinum Jubilee.

From a window overlooking Horse Guards Parade in central London, an energetic Meghan Markle appeared to playfully’shush’ a group of young royals as she made her first appearance at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

The Duchess of Sussex, 40, appeared to joke that Savannah Philips, 11, and her sister Isla, 10, as well as Lena Tindall, three, and her older sister Mia, eight, should be quiet during the parade as she chatted with them.

Another snapshot showed Meghan and her 37-year-old husband, Prince Harry, conversing with the Duke of Kent, who was clad in a scarlet military tunic and studded with medals. After being deprived of his honorary titles as part of his Megxit arrangement with the Queen to step away from royal duties, Harry seemed to be dressed in a morning suit rather than a military uniform like his father Prince Charles and brother Prince William.

Meghan watched the spectacular military event from the Major General’s Office, which overlooks the Whitehall parade ground, with her husband and other royals including the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Cornwall.

The Queen, Prince Charles, the Cambridges, and their children subsequently joined the working royals on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the flypast. Because Harry and Meghan are no longer working royals, there was no room for them or Prince Andrew.

The couple’s appearance at the Jubilee marks their first official engagement in over two years. They are anticipated to bring their three-year-old Archie and Lilibet, who is almost one, to the public family reunion, though they have yet to be seen.

Archie hasn’t been in the UK since he was six months old, and Lilibet has never met her royal ancestors. After his fall from popularity, however, Prince Andrew is not invited, even in a private capacity.

Princes George and Louis were seen looking over The Mall prior to Meghan’s arrival. At the window, they were joined by Charlotte’s sister, Kate, Camilla, and Sophie Wessex.

During the march, Louis was seen waving at Prince William and Prince Charles. While watching Trooping the Colour, Princess Beatrice appeared to point something out to the Cambridge youngsters.

Princess Charlotte looked to be scolded by her mother Kate at one point as she was playing with Mia Tindall.
