Mass shooting at an Argentinian fourth division football match leaves many injured

Following a gunshot at a fourth division football game in Argentina, a teen is in critical condition.

After 15 minutes, the Buenos Aires rivalry game between Club Lujan and Club Alem was called off after seven individuals were shot at the Campo Municipal de Deportes stadium.

The police used rubber bullets to try and quell the disorder, which resulted in about 20 individuals getting hurt.

According to local media, after a scuffle broke out, visiting ultras allegedly opened fire on home supporters near the stadium.

Around 20 people were injured in the chaos which police attempted to control using rubber bullets Due to the shooting and the hooligans’ altercation, the 18-year-old teenager is reportedly in a critical condition.

The violent guys reportedly also threw a “sound bomb” in the direction of the dugout to disturb the game.

A boy is seen being treated by paramedics for a chest wound in some disturbing video footage from the game that shows supporters fighting and hurling missiles at one another.

The wounded were taken to the close-by Municipal Hospital Nuestra Senora de Lujan.

Alem’s Facebook page posted a statement saying: “Unfortunately, the classic was suspended owing to incidents.

A gang of dangerous individuals have cast a shadow over what should be a football party.

Horacio Fabregat, the coach of Alem, was reported by Ole as saying: “We are in the locker room, we have no means to leave because we don’t have a microphone, and we are waiting [to find out] how we are going to get home.”

Following the shootings, spectators could be seen escaping the violence.

The injured were transferred to Municipal Hospital Nuestra Senora de Lujan nearby

‘The leaders [of the club] are with us and the people of Lujan are seeing how we can [leave].

‘I was the first to see that something was happening, I called the fourth referee and asked him to stop the game.

‘From then on they asked us to get inside the field, they began to throw stones at us and a very loud bomb fell near the [dugout].

‘I know it was something serious that happened outside, but we don’t know who what happened.’
