Los Angeles Talent Agency 33 & West Drops Kanye West After Series of Antisemitic and Offensive Social Media Posts

Los Angeles Talent Agency 33 & West Drops Kanye West After Series of Antisemitic and Offensive Social Media Posts

Kanye West has once again found himself at the center of controversy, leading to the loss of yet another business relationship.

This time, the Los Angeles-based talent agency 33 & West has officially severed ties with the rapper after a series of disturbing posts on X (formerly Twitter) over the weekend, which included antisemitic comments and other inflammatory statements.

Talent Agent Speaks Out

On Monday, Daniel McCartney, an agent at 33 & West, took to Instagram Stories to share his decision with his nearly 7,000 followers.

“Effective immediately, I am no longer representing YE (formerly known as Kanye West) due to his recent harmful and hateful remarks that neither I nor 33 & West can stand for,” McCartney wrote. “Peace and love to all.”

It’s unclear exactly when the agency began working with the “Hurricane” artist, but it didn’t take long for them to step away after his latest outbursts.

A Weekend of Shocking Statements

West, a 24-time Grammy winner, caused an uproar over the weekend with a string of social media posts that left many in disbelief.

Among the most shocking was an admission that he had “hit women before” and his defense of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ 2016 assault on his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura—a violent act that Combs himself has acknowledged as “inexcusable.”

Backlash on Social Media

The decision by 33 & West to drop West quickly became a hot topic on Reddit, particularly in the popular r/fauxmoi thread.

Many users were critical of the agency, questioning why they had chosen to work with the rapper in 2025 given his long history of controversial behavior.

One user commented that the move was “five years too late (at least),” while another sarcastically noted, “And he definitely never said anything troubling until right now, right?” Others pointed to his past remarks, including the time he “literally called himself a Nazi” and his infamous claim that “slavery was a choice.”

Kanye’s Online Store Taken Down

The fallout continued on Tuesday when Shopify took down the online store on West’s Yeezy website.

This came after he had used an expensive Super Bowl ad to promote a white shirt featuring a black swastika in the center.

The Anti-Defamation League called out the offensive merchandise in a post on X, stating, “As if we needed further proof of Kanye’s antisemitism, he chose to put a single item for sale on his website – a t-shirt emblazoned with a swastika.

If that wasn’t enough, the t-shirt is labeled on Kanye’s website as ‘HH-01,’ which is code for ‘Heil Hitler.'”

The organization also criticized the timing of his promotion, noting that by advertising during the Super Bowl, he amplified the message to an even larger audience.

CyberWell Calls for Further Action

Tal-Or Cohen Montemayor, the founder and executive director of CyberWell, an organization that monitors online antisemitism, spoke exclusively to DailyMail.com about their efforts to have the offensive content removed.

“CyberWell reached out to Shopify’s compliance and safety teams to alert them to the flagrant abuse of their platform by Yeezy.com,” Montemayor explained.

“Shopify acted swiftly and decisively, removing the store for peddling antisemitic filth.”

Montemayor commended Shopify for its quick response, saying, “This is the type of leadership and accountability that should be expected from all social media platforms and digital service providers.”

Additionally, Montemayor called out GoDaddy, the domain provider for Yeezy.com, urging them to follow Shopify’s lead and revoke the site’s rights for violating its terms of service.

The Ongoing Fallout

As West faces yet another wave of backlash, it remains to be seen how this latest controversy will impact his remaining business ventures.

Given his history, however, it’s clear that many in the industry are growing increasingly unwilling to associate with him.
