While most TV stars try to polish their image online, Lorraine Kelly is choosing to do the exact opposite — by proudly showing off her unfiltered, real-life self.
On Thursday’s episode of her ITV programme, the 65-year-old presenter shared a bikini photo from her recent holiday, using it as a powerful example during a chat about body image.
Taking on Social Media Filters With Honesty
Lorraine was joined in the studio by Emily Clarkson — daughter of Jeremy Clarkson — who’s become known for her no-nonsense stance on body positivity.
Emily, 30, regularly calls out unrealistic beauty standards on social media, so it was a fitting pairing.
During the show, Lorraine pulled up a side-by-side of her holiday snap in a white bikini: the original image versus one that had been digitally altered using filters.
And the difference? Striking. Her waist, bust, and arms had all been noticeably “perfected.”

Laughing as she saw the retouched version of herself, Lorraine made it clear she wasn’t buying into the filtered fantasy.
“It just shows you what you can do now,” she said with a grin. “They did it with me, and I actually laughed! I thought, crikey!”
Then, pointing to the unedited photo, she added: “That’s more kind of normal.
I’ve got a belly — who hasn’t?” Her relaxed attitude sparked applause from fans, many of whom praised her honesty and her refusal to hide her body behind a filter.

Long-time viewers may remember when Lorraine bared it all on her show nine years ago during her “Bikini Promise” campaign.
That five-week segment was all about helping viewers embrace their bodies, whatever their shape or age.
Laughing as she looked back, Lorraine joked: “I did lather on the fake tan, and as you can see, I was the colour of a satsuma!”

Lorraine’s big bikini moment comes during a time of major changes at ITV.
Recently, her long-running show was cut from a full hour to just 30 minutes, now airing seasonally.
According to insiders, ITV bosses had initially offered her a merged format — asking her to take over the last half-hour of Good Morning Britain. But Lorraine wasn’t having it.
She reportedly found the offer “insulting” and told network executives it wasn’t going to happen.
As a result, her show was trimmed, and though she was prepared to walk away, she agreed to stay on air until 2026.
A Quiet Exit on the Horizon?
While fans still get their morning fix of Lorraine — albeit in a shorter format — there’s speculation that she might step away for good next year.
A new executive role titled Head of Lorraine has been created to oversee changes to the show, but the contract only lasts 12 months.
For now, Lorraine is still showing up, staying honest, and reminding us that you don’t need a six-pack or a filter to feel confident in your skin.
