Lauryn Goodman recently opened up about her family plans and parenting experiences on her podcast, Yours Sincerely, alongside friend and co-host Lisa Andrews.

Despite having two children, Kairo and Kinara, with footballer Kyle Walker, Lauryn made it clear she has no intentions of expanding her family.

In a candid discussion, she responded to Lisa’s lighthearted suggestion of “never say never” with a firm, “No thanks, I’m good. They [Kairo and Kinara] are complete. I’m complete with them.”

Reflecting on Her Journey to Motherhood

Lauryn also took a moment to reflect on her journey to motherhood, a path that wasn’t without challenges.

Facing endometriosis, she had been informed she would likely need IVF to conceive.

Overcoming this, she expressed her gratitude, saying, “The only thing I wanted was for the baby to be healthy and to be able to deliver.”

When she learned Kinara was a girl, Lauryn felt it was a “blessing” to have both a son and a daughter.

Kairo’s Perspective on Family

On a more personal note, Lauryn shared insights into how her son Kairo views his family dynamics.

During a recent school activity, Kairo drew a family portrait that notably placed his father, Kyle, far from the rest of the family on the page.

Lauryn explained that a play therapist interpreted this as Kairo’s perception of his father as “there but not there.”

She noted that Kairo often describes his family as “me, Kiki, and him,” a simple but telling reflection of his experiences and understanding.

The Striking Resemblance Between Kinara and Kyle

Lauryn and Lisa also delved into the striking resemblance between Kinara and her father, Kyle.

According to Lauryn, hiding her daughter’s paternity would have been impossible, as Kinara bears an uncanny likeness to Kyle.

Laughing, Lisa commented, “You never could have got away with it!” Lauryn agreed, recalling how people immediately recognized the resemblance.

Kinara, now growing up, has started to look even more like her brother Kairo, further solidifying the family resemblance.

Moving Forward

Lauryn’s openness about her family and personal life continues to draw attention and spark conversation among her listeners.

From navigating parenthood amid public scrutiny to embracing the unique personalities and dynamics within her family, Lauryn’s journey has been anything but ordinary.
