Yahaya Bello, the Governor of Kogi State, has hailed Christians on the occasion of Easter, urging Nigerians to follow Christ’s example of self-sacrifice.

The Governor also congratulated Christians on the successful completion of the Lenten season, according to a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Onogwu Muhammed, on Friday in Abuja.

He advised people to use the season to pray for the country’s peace and leaders’ wisdom.

“In this season of enormous challenges, there must be a rekindling of hope for our nation, just as Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection indicate hope for mankind.”

As a result, I encourage Christians to think about important concerns impacting the country and to keep seeking God’s face for the country.

“In the ultimate national interest,” Bello remarked, “security, unity, and peace will win.”

He went on to say that security operatives and other cooperating agencies are working around the clock to stop crime and protect residents’ lives and property.
